It is really official now. Today I’ve recieved an email from Austria. I’m accepted into the programme. Funny to read I’ll recieve an invitiation from Finland in which they invite me 2 month before the start of the exchange. Should they know in Austria by now we’ve already started a webblog? Perhaps we should send them a message by snail mail

Suggestion about presents en documents October 1, 2006

One of the advices of the national agency is to bring a little present typical for your country for every participant. I don’t want to be rude, but most of the time these gifts will end after some time in the dustbin. So my suggestion would be : Bring only a little present for the organisation and give all the information you want to share with the participant by using these Blog.

Travelling to Turku September 28, 2006

Today I got some information from my local Travel Company. A two way ticket (Saturday – Saturday) from Brussels, with stop in Copenhagen, to Turku will cost me about € 330. Internet companies (travelprice, bblt, opodo, …) offer me a ticket (Brussels – Turku) for about the same price. Flying into Helsinki is already possible (on-line) for about € 190. Off course, I’ll have to buy a train-ticket too. So, I think I’ll fly directly into Turku and I’ll buy my ticket at my local store.

Yesterday I recieved an official invitation from the Turku Arion team. We can start. Let’s go for it. I hope that I’ll recieve the first part of the socrates-money from my National Agency so in a few days I can book the flight.
